Program Description:

Developing a Personal Vision is perhaps one the most important rewards of working on Long Term Projects. Find out how Herblish has worked on a number of long term projects and how he has greatly benefited both artistically and spiritually through the process. Learn how, by turning his creativity into overdrive, he has mastered other fringe disciplines that give his photography a unique edge. Discover how “The Herblish Experience” has made him into the all-around artist, author and instructor he is today.

Herbie Martin was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1985 moved to Central Florida. Participated in many art festivals while attending Winter Park High School.

After a horrible auto accident in early 1990, Herbie decided to refocus his life and matriculated at the Savannah College of Art Design (SCAD) where he majored in Photography, Graphic Design and Art History.

Herbie labored for several publications, agencies and corporations for the next 17 years after graduation. He also started a number of businesses dealing with creative services. Created over 20 book covers.

In 2006, Herbie Martin decided to change his artistic name to Herblish to correspond to his new creative focus. As Herblish, he incorporates his photography, photo-editing along with graphics, music and his new love of body painting.  He currently teaches at the Harmon’s School of Photography and also his own creative photography educational venture called the Herblish Sunday Workshops.

Herblish has exhibited his work through the years at several galleries all over the southeast including Savannah College of Art Design, Orlando City Arts Factory, 1st Thursdays at the Orlando Museum of Art, Osceola Arts and shows including Nude Nite in Miami, Orlando and Tampa.

In late 2016 Herblish published his first photography book “Beauty will Surface”. He is also planning on releasing 2 more books in 2018 including one about the infamous Picklesuit™ and “Faces” later in the year.
